Box is a file sharing and storage service that enables you to securely store your documents “in the cloud” and to access those documents anywhere you can connect to the Internet. You can also share your documents with any of your classmates or colleagues.

The following Box tools are available to support your file sharing needs: Box Web, Box Mobile, and Box Drive.

All active Georgetown credit students, as well as faculty and staff of the Main Campus and the Medical Center, receive Box accounts for as long as they maintain at least one of those affiliations with the university.

With Box you can:

• Store documents securely “in the cloud”.
• Access your documents anywhere, any time — and on any computer or device. You can use Box on a Mac or Windows computer, as well as on a mobile device (iPhone, Android, Windows).
• Share documents with others.
• Collaborate with others within and outside Georgetown.
• Access your documents between Box and your computer or mobile device.

To start using Georgetown Box, complete a simple, one-time setup process to activate your Georgetown Box account. Once you activate your Box account, you can log in to Box.

About Box Sync

Box Sync 4.0.8016 is a useful tool for the users who want to synchronize the online Box folder on multiple computers. The program allows you to send files to the cloud and to access the Box files even if you re not online. You can also use the application for locking a file or for generating a link for the cloud files that you want to share with your co-workers. This download is licensed as freeware for the Windows (32-bit and 64-bit) operating system/platform without restrictions. Box Sync is available to all software users as a free download for Windows.

We tested the file BoxSyncSetup.exe with 23 antivirus programs and it turned out 100% clean. It's good practice to test any downloads from the Internet with trustworthy antivirus software.

Older versions of Windows often have trouble running modern software and thus Box Sync may run into errors if you're running something like Windows XP. Conversely, much older software that hasn't been updated in years may run into errors while running on newer operating systems like Windows 10. You can always try running older programs in compatibility mode.

Officially supported operating systems include 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 10, Windows 8 and Windows 7.
